Deburan ombak yang menghantam batu karang, semilir hawa angin laut menuju ke daratan terbawa ombak, menyapa ramah para pengunjung yang singgah. Tebing tinggi dan batu karang berjajar eksotik , menunjukkan identitas kecantikan pantai ngobaran dari sisi lain. Jika biasanya pantai identik dengan keindahan pasir putihnya, di pantai ngobaran kita dapat menikmati kecantikan pantai dari sisi yang lain. Saat pantai sedang surut , keindahan lainpun seolah di pamerkan oleh pantai ngobaran, berupa hamparan alga ( rumput laut ) yang berwarna hijau maupun coklat. Toleransi beragama juga dapat kita saksikan di pantai ngobaran, tempat ini sering digunakan upacara keagamaan dan ritual oleh umat beragama hindu, aliran kejawan, dan aliran kejawen. Bangunan pura tempat ibadah umat hindu beridiri di tebing pinggir pantai menambah keindahan dan karamahan pantai. Letak pantai Ngobaran berada di sisi barat deretan pantai Gunungkidul, pantai ini sederet dengan pantai nguyahan dan ngrenehan. Tiga pantai ini letaknya berbeda dengan deretan pantai lain di Gunungkidul.
