Obyek wisata indah dan unik banyak menghiasi sudut Kabupaten Gunungkidul. Kawasan dengan dominasi batuan karst menyimpan eksotika hidden paradise, salah satunya adalah Goa Ngingrong. Goa ini merupakan lembah karst yang berbentuk sebuah luweng / collapse dollin atau biasa disebut dengan sinkhole dan membentuk sebuah goa horizontal dengan kealamiannya kemudian diakhiri dengan turunan horizontal dan mempunyai telaga bawah tanah diawahnya. Obyek wisata ini ditujukan bagi wisatawan minat khusus yang siap dengan medan yang menantang. Goa Ngingrong terletak di Desa Mulo, Kecamatan Wonosari, Kabupaten Gunungkidul, berada di jalur menuju obyek wisata pantai selatan Gunungkidul. Jika kita ingin berkunjung ke pantai saat berangkat atau pulangnya dapat mengunjungi Goa Ngingrong.
Untuk menikmati indahnya goa , pengunjung harus menuruni lembah karst terlebih dulu. Karena letak Goa Ngingrong berada di bawah. Terdapat 2 Goa di dasar lembah yaitu di sisi barat dan timur. Jika pengunjung telah memasuki mulut Goa , kesejukan dan kesegaran akan dirasakan , rasa lelah menyusuri lembahpun akan terbayarkan. Bagi pengunjung yang enggan menuruni lembah dan masuk ke goa, dapat pula menikmati keindahan panorama dari atas. Pada saat musim penghujan , hijaunya tanaman dan pepohonan akan melengkapi indahnya, ketika memasuki musim kemarau pun tak kalah indah.
Pada hari sabtu dan minggu pagi, beragam kuliner khas dan tradisional dijajakan oleh penduduk lokal di pasar kuliner. Pengunjung dapat senam pagi bersama yang diadakan oleh Pokdarwis setelah itu dapat menikmati sajian kulinernya. Bagi pecinta wisata minat khusus juga dapat menikmati sensasi naik flying fox dan atv di kawasan obyek wisata Ngingrong.
The beautiful and unique object of tourism are decorate all the corner of Gunungkidul regency. The Area with the karst rock are domination and keeping the exotica of hidden paradise, there is a Ngingrong Cave. This Cave is kind of karst valley that shaped as a collapse dollin which is sinkhole and it has form like horizontal cave naturally, then finished with horizontal derivative which has kind of underground lake. This object tourism is intended for traveler who has special interest with challenge field. This cave is located in Mulo Village, Wonosari, Gunungkidul, near to the lane of south beach tourism Gunungkidul. If we want to visit to the beach, we can also visit the Ngingrong cave.
The visitor may go down and descend karst valley first to enjoy the beautiul of this cave, because this cave located on base. There are two caves in the bottom of valley, the west side and the east side. If the visitor has entered from the mouth of cave, the coolness and freshness can be feel. For the visitor doesn’t descend or entered the cave, it can also enjoy the beautiful panorama on top. On the rainy or dry season, the green of plants and trees will complete the beautiful.
On Saturday dan Sunday morning, there are kind of typical and traditional culinary which is selling by local population in culinary market. The visitor can join gymnastic together that held by Pokdarwis (the group of people who aware of tourism) and after that enjoy the serving culinary. For the travel lovers who has interest can also enjoy the sensation of flying fox and atv in the area of object tourism Ngingrong
